Flat bottom pouch you make my rockin' world go 'round

One of my goals for this year is to sew the patchwork duvet cover I mention below, so to start getting over my fear of THE SEWING MACHINE (scary) I took on this mini project: A flat bottom pouch for my mother.

I followed this tutorial in the hope that mine would come out having some resemblance to this adorable thing:



And so! I did it!



I'm packing it full of my favorite travel survival goods for my Mom's upcoming trip to Colorado.
Emergen-C and hand sanitizer to ward off stale airplane germs, hand lotion, Burt's Bees and eye drops to keep things hydrated in the dry, recirculated airplane air, floss and Altoids to keep feeling fresh even after a three-hour layover and a mini mirror.
